No Time to Lose, a poem by Cormac Culkeen

A rhyming poem about the various forms of loss that afflict human life.

The images in the video are of the Corrib River and Menlo Castle in Galway.

No Time to Lose

Your sanity, virility,
Perspective or ability,
Patience’s restraint,
Or mutable desirability,
Morals, memories faint,
Eventing fate’s deductibility,
Belief in deities quaint,
Honeyed thoughts of positivity,
Youth’s declining plaint,
Increasing bouts of irritability.
Know to be a morbid saint
Loss, in variability.
